About

This blog is about photography and its use to convey atmospheres, impressions… consider it my permanent, virtual exhibition; don’t forget to leave a note or a like if you liked it, feedback is always very important.

Photography for me is a meditation, in the sense that when making pictures i am entirely connected to my feelings, bypassing the rational, thinking part of the brain.

It is also a way to capture the beauty of the world, which is present everywhere if you look close enough, be it in a landscape, in the geometry of a city, or in a smile.

I am currently living in Hong Kong since August 2010.

For those who are interested in the more technical aspects of things, my current gear is the following:

  • Canon EOS 5D Mk III, lenses 24/1.4L II, 50/1.2L, 35/1.4L
  • Hasselblad 501CM, CFV-39 digital back; lenses Zeiss Planar 80/2.8 CFE, Zeiss Distagon 40/4 CF, Zeiss Sonnar 150/4

I only use quality fast prime lenses for the best colour rendition, depth of field control and creamy bokeh 🙂
